Hoboken, N.J. – September 20, 2026 -- Quantum Computing Inc. (Nasdaq: QUBT) will demonstrate, for the first time, a platform combining quantum key distribution (QKD) with hardware-based Quantum Identity Authentication (QIA) on a single system at ECOC Exhibition 2026, running September 21-23 at FYCMA in Málaga, Spain.
QCi merges encryption and authentication into one telecom-compatible architecture
At Booth #1436, the company will showcase high-dimensional QKD, direct entanglement verification, QIA and integrated key management combined in a single platform. Traditional QKD systems have faced barriers including scalability limits, operational complexity, high infrastructure costs and reliance on classical authentication methods, confining much of the technology to research settings rather than commercial deployment.
Patented authentication technology underpins the new platform
QIA is built on QCi's patented invention, "Systems and Methods for Quantum-Secured, Private-Preserving Computations," granted patent protection in the United States and more than 40 other countries. The technology, developed by Dr. Yuping Huang and Dr. Lac Nguyen, won the 44th Edison Patent Award and enables quantum authentication and verification of private information without requiring that information to be shared. The platform uses QCi's Quantum Zero-Knowledge Proof (QZKP) technology for quantum-safe authentication that does not rely solely on computational cryptography, and operates in a compact, room-temperature form factor with wavelength-multiplexed scaling across multiple nodes.
Booth display adds instrumentation and photonics components alongside the security demo
QCi will also present a flexible quantum instrumentation and metrology platform for measurement, characterization and system development, and will display advanced photonics components underscoring the company's vertically integrated manufacturing approach spanning photonics and semiconductor production.
QCi executive frames the launch as a shift from research to deployment
"The transition to quantum-secure communications is no longer a long-term technology discussion," said Yong Meng Sua, Chief Technology Officer of QCi, adding that the ECOC demonstrations combine quantum authentication, QKD and validation instrumentation to give the telecom industry a firsthand look at strengthening tomorrow's communications security.
QCi to present on quantum-authenticated communications in ECOC theatre session
Massimo Di Blasio, Director of Product Line Management/Business Development at QCi, will deliver a presentation titled "The Quantum Secure Solution: Quantum-authenticated communications for broad applications in security" on Wednesday, September 23, from 14:50 to 15:10 in the ECOC Product Focus Theatre, examining how quantum authentication can establish identity and trust as organizations prepare for the evolving quantum threat.
