QIA, J.P. Morgan Asset Management Ink $20 Billion Investment Pact

Doha – – September 21, 2026 -- Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build a USD 20 billion strategic partnership spanning public and private markets in equities and credit.

QIA Allocates $15 Billion To Customized Global Equity Mandates

The larger of the two tracks is a USD 15 billion public equities mandate under which JPMAM will manage bespoke global equity portfolios for QIA, drawing on the firm's active equity capabilities, global investment platform and research infrastructure.

$5 Billion Private Credit Push Targets U.S. Middle-Market Firms

A second USD 5 billion initiative will see QIA and JPMAM jointly provide senior financing to established middle-market companies in the United States, with sector focus on industrials, services, healthcare and technology.

Executives Frame Deal As Long-Term Value Play

Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi, CEO of QIA, said the collaboration gives the fund access to "one of the world's leading global equity and private credit platforms" and will unlock new opportunities for both firms through ongoing investment dialogue and joint programs.

Mary Callahan Erdoes, CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset and Wealth Management, said the partnership will support QIA's role as a leader in global institutional investing while delivering customized, high-quality solutions.

Deal Sits Within JPMAM's $4.6 Trillion Asset Base

JPMAM manages USD 4.6 trillion in assets as of June 30, 2026, while parent JPMorgan Chase & Co. reported USD 5.0 trillion in total assets and USD 375 billion in stockholders' equity for the same period. QIA, established in 2005 to manage Qatar's state reserves, ranks among the largest sovereign wealth funds globally.
