East Lansing, Mich. – September 18, 2026 -- Reseda Group has launched Bolt, a Banking-as-a-Service platform that connects fintech companies directly to MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) as the Financial Institution of Record, with cash management provider TAPP Engine signed as the platform's first fintech partner.
Bolt links fintechs to MSUFCU through API and SDK infrastructure
The platform, developed by Reseda Group and shaped by MSUFCU's fintech deployment experience, provides APIs, SDKs and software tools supporting account opening, payments, debit card issuance, external account connectivity and embedded finance. Financial institutions can use Bolt to accelerate fintech partnerships and expand digital banking capabilities, while fintechs avoid the regulatory burden of becoming licensed institutions themselves.
TAPP Engine uses Bolt to deliver white-labeled banking to credit union clients
TAPP Engine is leveraging Bolt to connect its cash management tools directly to the financial institutions holding its clients' deposits, enabling a fully white-labeled private banking experience. Will Dolan, President of TAPP Engine, said the arrangement lets each TAPP client offer a branded cash management service while deposits remain with credit unions, pairing a premium experience with community-focused trust.
Bolt applies a shared-responsibility compliance model between vendors and MSUFCU
Bolt works with specific vendor partners to handle Know Your Customer and Know Your Business checks before account opening. Once accounts are established, MSUFCU manages ongoing account monitoring, compliance oversight and detection of unusual activity, allowing fintech partners to focus on customer experience rather than operational risk management.
Ben Maxim, Chief Operating Officer at Reseda Group and Chief Technology Officer at MSUFCU, said the platform was built to create a secure bridge between fintech innovators and trusted financial institutions, enabling faster delivery of new financial experiences to consumers.
