SHERIDAN, WYOMING – July 1, 2025 – Ricoh has announced the launch of the new Pro™ C5400 series for color production printing, introducing systems that combine increased production speed with enhanced user-friendliness. Designed to meet the diverse needs of commercial print service providers and in-house print centers, the Pro C5400 series builds on the output speed and excellent paper handling of the previous Ricoh Pro™ C5310S/C5300S/Pro C5300SL models, delivering significant improvements in overall performance.
Expanded Production Capabilities for Evolving Demands
The Pro C5400 series offers a range of advanced features to help customers meet market demands for high-quality, short-run jobs:
- Reduced warm-up time from 120 seconds to 30 seconds* for faster readiness.
- Increased duplex scanning speed of up to 300 images per minute, supported by AI-based skew detection and a continuous scanning mode for small-format documents like business cards.
- Improved registration stability through redesigned vacuum feed (LCIT), delivering more accurate duplex and banner printing.

Enhanced Media Versatility and User Experience
Supporting a wider range of substrates, the Pro C5400 handles coated and synthetic media, envelopes, clear covers, and banners up to 1,300 mm simplex. Key upgrades include:
- New touchscreen functions for significantly improved user-friendliness.
- Enhanced paper setting interface for consistent print quality.
- Industry-first staple-less binding option enabling corner binding of up to 16 sheets and two-point binding of up to 12 sheets without metal staples, using moisture and pressure.
- Compact folding unit only 209 mm wide—less than half the width of the predecessor—saving valuable production space.
Commitment to Sustainability and Operational Efficiency
Ricoh has increased the share of recycled materials in the Pro C5400 series by more than five times compared to the previous model, contributing to customers’ sustainability goals without sacrificing performance.
