Chicago – September 25, 2026 -- RND Automation will run a live vertical pouching demonstration and unveil an expanded packaging-equipment lineup at PACK EXPO International 2026, scheduled for October 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The company will occupy Booth N-5115 in the North Hall, positioning itself as a supplier of configurable automation platforms rather than one-off custom machinery.
KANGA Poucher runs live throughout the four-day show
RND's KANGA Poucher will operate continuously at the booth, packaging a multitool that attendees can take home. The packaging web for the demonstration is supplied by Amcor. The company says the live run is designed to show a repeatable packaging platform that can flex across different products and package formats without requiring ground-up engineering.
Portfolio spans five packaging equipment lines plus leak testing
Beyond KANGA, RND will display MiniPack, MicroPack, TrayPack, Rotary Sealers, and QuickPouch by RND Automation, which is built in Vertical, Horizontal, Mini, and Micro configurations. RND also supports the existing QuickPouch installed base with service, technical support, training, and replacement parts. An RND SureVac leak-testing system will be on-site, designed to detect gross leaks in blister packs, pouches, and medical-device packaging as part of quality-control programs.
High-Risk Test Bench lets engineers de-risk automation before full deployment
RND's second major exhibit feature, the High-Risk Test Bench, is a configurable research and testing platform used internally to evaluate robotics, gripping, motion, machine safety, sensing, controls, and product handling under production-like conditions before integration into a full system. The PACK EXPO version of the bench incorporates technology from Doosan Robotics, OnRobot, B&R Industrial Automation, FANUC, Pilz, Banner Engineering, and Festo, alongside a QuickPouch Micro and SureVac Leak Tester.
FANUC M-710 robot display links packaging equipment to broader line integration
A large FANUC M-710 industrial robot will be shown alongside footage of the robot class in an active customer automation system, illustrating RND's reach into product feeding, handling, inspection, controls, machine safety, and line integration beyond stand-alone packaging machines.
