New York – October 02, 2026 -- Roland Foods, LLC will acquire Savor Brands, LLC from Dot Foods, Inc. under a strategic partnership that also gives Dot Foods an equity interest in Roland Foods, the companies announced. The deal pairs Roland Foods' 2,400-product global ingredient portfolio with Savor's frozen offerings and expanded import range, while Dot Foods will distribute both Roland and Savor products through its nationwide less-than-truckload redistribution network.
Dot Foods gains equity stake while keeping distribution role
Dot Foods, which carries 130,000 products from 1,500 manufacturers and operates 13 U.S. distribution centers plus two in Canada, will become both a shareholder in Roland Foods and its commercial distribution partner. Keith Dougherty, CEO of Roland Foods, said the Dot relationship will make it easier for customers to buy from the combined business.
Roland products set to reach Dot's network by early 2027
Roland-branded products are expected to become available through Dot Foods' redistribution system in early 2027, with Roland and Savor products also rolling out across Roland Foods' existing distribution channels on a similar timeline. Until the transaction closes, Roland Foods, Savor and Dot Foods will continue operating independently, and existing customer orders, terms and contracts will remain unchanged after closing.
Vestar Capital Partners backs deal after decade-long Roland relationship
Joe Tracy, Chairman and CEO of Dot Family Holdings, said combining Roland's sourcing expertise with Dot's supply chain capabilities creates an import solution for customers of both brands. Dan O'Connell, CEO and Founder of Vestar Capital Partners, which has worked with Roland Foods for more than a decade, called the transaction a natural next step for the business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the companies said further details on the commercial rollout will follow in the coming months.
