New York City – October 12, 2026 -- S-Docs, a native document generation and e-signature provider for Salesforce, has made new Microsoft file format support and government smart card identity verification available to customers immediately, ahead of Dreamforce 2025.
S-Sign adds CAC and PIV smart card authentication for regulated signers
E-signature flows in S-Sign now let signers authenticate with government-issued Common Access Card (CAC) or Personal Identity Verification (PIV) smart cards. Multi-signer workflows can be configured to require CAC/PIV verification, PIN authentication, or no authentication where appropriate. Each signature is backed by a verified record of verification and signing events, creating an audit trail.
Next-generation Microsoft file support uses Salesforce native compression
The revamped Microsoft file format functionality draws on Salesforce's native compression. S-Docs says this delivers easier template management, faster document generation and better performance. It also integrates with Salesforce Flows, OmniStudio and Experience Cloud.
Manual document errors drive the product push
The company cites the 2025 State of Document Workflows and Compliance Risk Report, which found that 69% of leaders still rely on manual spreadsheets or workflows. According to the report, 26% of manually prepared documents contain errors, and 61% of organizations have suffered serious disruptions from documentation mistakes, often costing six figures or more.
AI roadmap extends AgentForce and adds a support agent
S-Docs is expanding AI investment through three steps: extending AgentForce capabilities for document workflows, launching an AI Agent assistant in the S-Docs Knowledge Base for faster support, and future cross-platform AI capabilities for workflow automation. The source ties the AI work to Salesforce's AgentExchange. No launch dates were given for the cross-platform capabilities.
Florida Prepaid College Board cuts maintenance time by more than 80%
Ashley Falls, Director of Information Technology at Florida Prepaid College Board, said the organization has cut template maintenance time by more than 80% and eliminated over a hundred redundant templates. Her teams now generate compliant documents in seconds, she said. Before adopting S-Docs, the board dealt with fragmented systems, inconsistent templates and time-consuming manual checks.
CEO Brian Stimpfl said the company aims to deliver capabilities that augment customer workflows rather than add complexity.
Dreamforce sessions target regulated industries
Stimpfl and Falls will co-present "Closing the Confidence Gap in Regulated Industries" at Dreamforce. Mike Zabel, Product Manager at S-Docs, and Jessica Forbes, Sales Technology Administrator at Wedgewood Weddings & Events, will present "Tech is just the start: experience is everything." S-Docs staff will be at booth #706 in the Campground and kiosk #18 in the Trailblazer Forest.
