SCANOLOGY Launches TrackScan Sharp-Z, GO for Portable 3D Inspection

Hangzhou – September 08, 2026 -- SCANOLOGY has introduced two new optical 3D scanning systems, TrackScan Sharp-Z and TrackScan GO, targeting manufacturers that need to move measurement equipment between large components and confined production spaces.

TrackScan Sharp-Z extends tracking range to 12 meters for oversized parts

The system uses Fully Self Tracking technology that automatically rotates the tracker to follow the 3D scanner, cutting down on repositioning during inspection of large components such as aircraft structures, commercial vehicles, and energy equipment.

TrackScan GO fits a complete measurement system into one carrying case

The portable unit supports three measurement configurations -- marker-free optical tracking, wide-area scanning, and handheld inspection -- with the tracker and scanner able to operate together or independently. This design targets teams that otherwise need to transport multiple devices for different inspection tasks.

Both systems are evaluated under ISO 10360-13 measurement standards

SCANOLOGY built both platforms on a shared wireless architecture that applies edge computing to process camera images before transmitting data, reducing bandwidth needs and enabling cable-free operation on the shop floor.

AR overlay and dual-screen interfaces aim to simplify field operation

TrackScan Sharp-Z pairs automatic tracking with a dual-screen interface, while TrackScan GO adds a color camera and AR overlay that lets operators map measurement data directly onto the physical workpiece and document surface defects on the 3D model. Both systems run on SCANOLOGY's unified industrial measurement software platform, supporting a consistent workflow from scanning through analysis and reporting, with preconfigured routines intended to standardize repeat inspection procedures across operators.
