Charlotte, N.C. – September 22, 2026 -- Sealed Air Corporation has launched CRYOVAC® brand ZeroPrep hand-dispensing pouches, a pre-filled packaging format designed to eliminate squeeze bottle preparation and cleanup in restaurant back-of-house operations.
Pre-filled pouches replace rigid squeeze bottles in food service kitchens
Each ZeroPrep pouch includes an easy-open seal and a resealable spout that allows one-handed dispensing of condiments and sauces without drips. The pouches are hermetically sealed until first use, reducing contamination risk by removing the step of transferring condiments into secondary containers.
New VFFS system produces pouches at up to 80 packs per minute
The pouches are manufactured on Sealed Air's new CRYOVAC® ZeroPrep vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) system, which combines two proprietary CRYOVAC® films to create the pouch's patented shape, easy-open seal and semi-rigid spout. The system produces package sizes ranging from 8 to 16 fluid ounces at speeds of up to 80 packs per minute.
Sealed Air cites up to 97% product yield to reduce food waste
The company states ZeroPrep pouches can achieve product yield of up to 97%, cutting food waste compared with traditional squeeze bottle refilling. Sealed Air positions the format as a way to maintain condiment freshness and flavor consistency across shifts while simplifying storage.
Joe Lambert, Sealed Air's North America vice president of food, said the product was developed in response to customer feedback on the burden of squeeze bottle prep and cleaning, aiming to improve both operational efficiency and food safety.
Product to be showcased at PACK EXPO International 2026 in Chicago
CRYOVAC® ZeroPrep pouches and the VFFS system will be displayed at Sealed Air's booth S-2844 during PACK EXPO International 2026, running Oct. 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
