Linköping – September 24, 2026 -- Northeast Georgia Medical Center has gone live with Sectra's cloud-based enterprise imaging platform, Sectra One Cloud, under a five-year contract covering an expected annual imaging volume of around 850,000 exams.
Hospital deploys radiology, breast imaging and cardiology modules in first rollout phase
The Gainesville-based flagship hospital of Northeast Georgia Health System initially activated three specialty modules on the unified platform, allowing clinicians across sites to view, share and report on patient studies from a single system rather than separate applications tied to each specialty.
Richard Wright, Executive Director of Imaging Services for Northeast Georgia Medical Center, said the consolidated workflow has reduced steps between viewing studies and finalizing reports, and enables clinicians at different sites to consult on the same case.
Sectra assumes full management of infrastructure, monitoring and upgrades
Under the fully managed cloud arrangement, Sectra takes responsibility for system operation, maintenance, continuous monitoring, optimization and upgrades, a model aimed at reducing operational risk while maintaining high system availability for the health system.
The solution's modular architecture allows Northeast Georgia Health System to add further specialties over time without replacing the underlying platform.
Deal supports care for 1.5 million people across 19 Georgia counties
NGMC Gainesville serves as a regional tertiary referral center providing emergency, surgical and specialized care to a population exceeding 1.5 million across 19 counties in northeast Georgia, and operates as one of five NGMC campuses under the nonprofit Northeast Georgia Health System.
The go-live occurred in the fourth quarter of Sectra's 2025/2026 fiscal year. Isaac Zaworski, President of Sectra Inc., said the company manages infrastructure, monitoring and upgrades so hospital teams can focus on patient care rather than system upkeep.
