Changzhou, China – September 29, 2026 -- Segway Powersports brought 14 media representatives and creators from Canada, Chile, Peru, Panama, Brazil and Argentina to its Changzhou manufacturing facility and off-road testing grounds in Xinjiang from September 14-19 under the SEGWAY POWERSPORTS CHINA TOUR-2026 LATAM & CANADA EDITION program.
Factory tour exposes production, assembly and quality-control processes
Participants toured the company's manufacturing site in Changzhou, examining assembly lines, vehicle testing protocols and final inspection procedures used across Segway Powersports' ATV and side-by-side (SxS) product lines. The visit provided visibility into traceability practices tied to the company's vehicle output.
Off-road testing in Xinjiang covers desert, gravel and water-crossing terrain
The program moved to Keping County in Aksu, Xinjiang, where guests drove multiple models across desert sand, gravel sections and water crossings to evaluate power delivery, handling and comfort under varied conditions.
Six markets feed direct product feedback to Segway's R&D and after-sales teams
Beyond factory and trail activities, participants exchanged input on local riding environments and user expectations directly with Segway Powersports' marketing, product, R&D and after-sales divisions, channeling market-specific insights from Canada and five Latin American countries into the company's product development process.
"Seeing how a vehicle is built is one thing; experiencing it in real terrain is another," said Ethan Zhang, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Segway Powersports. He added that combining the two experiences helps media and creators understand the products more completely while giving the company clearer insight into regional rider needs.
Company plans to expand similar factory-to-trail programs to additional markets
Segway Powersports said it intends to replicate the format in other regions to strengthen relationships with media and creators and to continue incorporating real-world feedback into product and service planning.
