Bratislava – September 17, 2026 -- EXPO 2027 Belgrade organizers will pitch Serbia's tourism and investment potential to Slovak industry executives at a B2B networking event on 17 September 2026 at Incheba in Bratislava.
Serbia targets Slovak business leaders ahead of 2027 Expo opening
The "Visit Serbia B2B Networking" session, running from 10:30 a.m. at Incheba, a.s. on Viedenská cesta 3–7, forms part of an international roadshow promoting Serbia as a travel and investment destination before EXPO 2027 Belgrade opens on 15 May 2027. Igor Kovačević, Executive Director of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, and Lukáš Parízek, Slovakia's Commissioner General for the Expo, will address representatives of Slovakia's tourism industry and business community, with the programme including delegation visits, targeted B2B meetings, and access to a digital platform connecting companies.
Bilateral trade hits EUR 1.3 billion, up 15% year-on-year
Trade between Serbia and Slovakia reached approximately EUR 1.3 billion in 2025, a 15 percent increase year-on-year, according to the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. The figure makes Serbia Slovakia's most important trading partner in the Western Balkans. Slovakia was also the first country to sign a Participation Contract for EXPO 2027 Belgrade, ahead of other international partners.
Belgrade Expo will run three months under sport-and-music theme
EXPO 2027 Belgrade is a Specialised Exhibition themed "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All," scheduled from 15 May to 15 August 2027 with more than 135 countries confirmed to participate. The Bratislava event is co-organized by Slovakia Travel, #GoBelgrade, and ATIS.
