Milan – October 05, 2026 -- Three womenswear brands from Shenzhen's Futian District -- Laurèl, IDPAN and YINER -- presented Spring/Summer 2027 collections at Milan's Rotonda della Besana on September 22, 2026, as part of an official event with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
Futian's fashion sector generated RMB 566.3 billion in revenue in 2025
The district counted 2,600 above-scale fashion enterprises and employed 400,000 fashion professionals last year, according to figures released alongside the Milan presentation. The event was backed by the People's Government of Futian District, organized by the Bay Area Sustainable Fashion Alliance (BASFA) and Shenzhen Fumei Space Innovation Development Co., Ltd.
Four of China's top ten high-end womenswear brands operate out of Futian
Those four brands account for roughly one quarter of Shenzhen's fashion industry output. The district has offered support of up to RMB 5 million to fashion enterprises and built the Bay Area Fashion Center, a RMB 10 billion headquarters complex now hosting more than 30 brands -- described as China's first facility of its scale dedicated to high-end womenswear.
Futian brands have appeared on international fashion week calendars for three consecutive years
The district has supported its fashion industry for eight years, a period that has also brought Istituto Marangoni's Futian campus, Shenzhen Design Week, the Shenzhen–Milan Dual-City Fashion Week, the Futian International Fashion Gathering, Futian Fashion Creative Design Week and the TOPSKYLINE Runway Show to the region.
BASFA President and Creative Director Dan Wang said the Milan showcase was designed to present Eastern aesthetics through contemporary design and to build exchange between brands from China's Greater Bay Area and the European fashion industry.
Laurèl's "Layers of Time" collection paired Bauhaus tailoring with a renewed WAKUKU collaboration
Laurèl, founded in Munich in 1978, built its SS27 line on architectural tailoring and craftsmanship, extending its WAKUKU partnership through a character called Rèl-LY, its "little time collector."
IDPAN's "Tribute to Craftsmanship" collection balanced AI-era manufacturing with handwork
The brand's two capsule themes, "From Milan, Back to Milan" and "MODERN SERENITY," combined intelligent manufacturing techniques with artisanal refinement and fluid tailoring.
YINER's "Nature Imprint" line translated leaves, shells and stone into fabric texture
The collection used linear motifs, pleating, prints, natural fibers, lace and metallic threads, paired with earth-toned colorways linking natural forms to contemporary femininity.
