SIG SAUER Debuts P385 Pistol With 20% Recoil Reduction at SIG NEXT

Newington, New Hampshire – September 23, 2026 -- SIG SAUER unveiled the P385 pistol at its invitation-only SIG NEXT event, claiming a 20 percent or greater reduction in muzzle rise depending on the model variant.

New Recoil System Cuts Muzzle Rise Across Five Model Variants

The P385 integrates a new SIG Recoil Dampening System, a low bore axis, and a precision-cut carbon steel barrel engineered for accuracy. The striker-fired pistol will ship in five configurations -- P385-MACH3D, P385-COMP, P385-FULL, P385-CARRY, and P385-COMPACT -- available in black and coyote brown finishes starting this fall and into early winter.

New Fire Control Unit and Grip Module Target Modularity

A new fire control unit (FCU) anchors the platform alongside a SIG SAUER Trigger Block designed for a smooth trigger press. The accompanying MAGSTRAP grip module allows users to adjust grip length and hand-size fit. All P385 models are SIG-LOC optic-ready, feature fully ambidextrous controls, and offer an optional manual thumb safety.

SIG SAUER Expands P211 Lineup and Launches XRAY5 Optic

Alongside the P385, SIG SAUER expanded its P211 series with two additions -- the P211-FULL and P211-CARRY -- built on the P211-GTO, GT5, and GT4 platforms that debuted at SIG NEXT the previous year. Both new P211 models use a polymer grip module paired with an aluminum frame.

SIG SAUER also introduced the XRAY5, a 1x24MM red dot optic built on a solid-state architecture with a 225-dot rigid matrix and no moving parts subject to wear or drift. The optic adjusts automatically to variable lighting conditions, supports digital zeroing via a mobile app in seconds, and stores multiple user profiles.

SIG NEXT Gathers Top Customers and Media Partners for Product Reveals

SIG NEXT combined product presentations with a manufacturing facility tour and live-fire range sessions at the SIG SAUER Academy, drawing top customers and media partners. "The all-new SIG SAUER P385 was developed from the ground-up," said Eric McKenzie, Director of Commercial Product Management at SIG SAUER, noting the pistol delivers new performance and accuracy features.
