SIMSY Adopts Atombeam's Neurpac to Cut LiDAR Data 75% Over Cellular

Moraga, Calif. – September 19, 2026 -- Atombeam's Neurpac data-compaction technology achieved a 75% reduction in LiDAR data volume during testing on SIMSY's private cellular network, a result that will now be offered to SIMSY's enterprise customers moving large real-time data sets.

Neurpac cuts LiDAR payloads by 75% in SIMSY network tests

SIMSY, which operates its own cellular core network for enterprise device deployments, confirmed the 75% compaction rate during trials of Neurpac, addressing a bandwidth constraint that had previously blocked efficient LiDAR transmission over cellular links. Alex Taylor, CEO and co-founder of SIMSY, said the uplink has historically been the bottleneck in cellular networks, offering far less capacity than downlink, which is exactly where large data types like LiDAR become stuck.

Compaction technology multiplies effective bandwidth for uplink-constrained data

Neurpac uses machine learning to encode and decode data patterns in microseconds, reducing transmission size. Atombeam states Neurpac reduces data transmissions by 75% on average, equivalent to a 4x bandwidth multiplier across any network, and up to a 10x bandwidth increase specifically for LiDAR data. The technology applies beyond LiDAR to system event logs, sensor data, database information, and SCADA data, and works across wired, cellular, and satellite networks.

SIMSY targets mission-critical device deployments across 600-plus cellular networks

SIMSY's network spans more than 600 cellular networks worldwide and supports zero-touch provisioning, real-time monitoring, compliance reporting, and automated support for use cases including autonomous vehicles, drones, industrial automation, digital signage, robotics, fleet EV charging, and smart buildings. SIMSY controls the network at the infrastructure level, which the company says closes monitoring gaps common to standard cellular deployments and keeps connected devices off the public internet.

Atombeam positions Neurpac as a performance layer atop existing security controls

Julien Dersy, chief product officer of Atombeam, said Neurpac allows SIMSY's network to handle larger data streams faster without altering the security and compliance framework that already attracts enterprise customers to the platform. The integration requires no additional network buildout, according to the companies.
