Stockholm – September 19, 2026 -- Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Sobi) has paid Innate Pharma SA USD 75 million as their strategic oncology partnership becomes legally effective, following the expiration of antitrust waiting periods and satisfaction of other closing conditions.
Partnership clears regulatory hurdles first announced August 10, 2026
The deal, initially disclosed on August 10, 2026, grants Sobi exclusive global commercialisation rights to lacutamab pending accelerated approval, with an option to assume full global development rights if Phase 3 results are positive.
TELLOMAK-3 trial targets accelerated approval filing for Sézary syndrome
Innate will run the TELLOMAK-3 confirmatory Phase 3 study in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), a step toward filing for accelerated approval of lacutamab in Sézary syndrome, a CTCL subtype. The first patient enrollment is expected in the first quarter of 2027. The study is also designed to support full approval applications in key jurisdictions for both Sézary syndrome and mycosis fungoides, the most common CTCL subtype.
Milestone payments could reach $505 million beyond the upfront sum
Beyond the USD 75 million effective-date payment, Innate is eligible for up to USD 40 million tied to near-term Sézary syndrome development milestones. A further USD 465 million is linked to Sobi's option to acquire full development rights and to future regulatory and commercial milestones. Innate will also collect tiered double-digit royalties on net sales once lacutamab reaches market.
Sobi expands rare disease pipeline with 2025 revenue of SEK 28 billion
Sobi, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and employing roughly 2,000 people across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, reported 2025 revenue of SEK 28 billion. The lacutamab deal extends its rare disease portfolio into oncology-focused CTCL treatment, while Innate, dual-listed on Euronext Paris and NASDAQ, secures near-term capital and long-term royalty exposure tied to Sobi's commercial reach.
