Stafford Launches USDA/FDA-Approved Shaft Collar Line for Food Conveyors

Wilmington, Massachusetts – – September 13, 2026 -- Stafford Manufacturing Corp. has released a full line of shaft collars, couplings, and flange mounts engineered specifically for conveyor and packaging equipment in the food and beverage sector, targeting operators that require frequent wash-down cycles under USDA and FDA compliance standards.

New product line fits round, square and hex bores across multiple materials

The Stafford Shaft Collars, Couplings & Flange Mounts are machined from 303 and 316 stainless steel, food-grade Blue Acetal, Nylon, or Delrin, paired with 18-8 or 316 stainless steel fasteners. The components are available in one- and two-piece designs, giving equipment manufacturers flexibility for assembly and maintenance without full shaft disassembly.

Sizing ranges from 0.25 inches to 16 inches depending on material

Stainless steel variants span 0.25-inch to 16-inch inner diameter, while Blue Acetal is offered from 0.25 inches to 2 inches, and Nylon or Delrin collars range from 1 inch to 4 inches. Stafford can incorporate special and threaded bores, keyways, and knurls into the collars to match specific conveyor or packaging line configurations.

Products ship from stock with pricing tied to material and configuration

Pricing varies according to material, size, and configuration, with delivery available directly from existing inventory rather than custom manufacturing lead times. The wash-down-rated construction targets food processing plants and packaging lines where corrosion resistance and sanitary compliance are mandatory for continuous operation.
