Columbia, S.C. – September 24, 2026 -- STL has expanded its Neuralis Data Center portfolio with Pre-Terminated Fiber Trunk Assemblies scaling from 48 fibers to 6912 fibers, targeting hyperscale and enterprise operators facing capacity constraints from AI, cloud and high-performance computing workloads.
New portfolio splits into two product lines for indoor and campus-scale deployment
The Indoor Pre-Terminated Fiber Trunk Assemblies span 48F to 576F, designed for MMC, MPO and LC terminations inside the data hall. Cable diameters range from 5.8 mm at 48 fibers to 12.2 mm at 576 fibers, meeting ANSI/ICEA S-83-596 and UL OFNP/OFNR standards. The Indoor/Outdoor line covers 144F to 6912F for campus, inter-building and inter-row interconnects, holding an outer diameter of 32.0 mm even at maximum fiber count, with OFNR/LSZH jacketing and UL 1651-rated sunlight resistance.
Factory termination targets field-installation errors as fiber counts climb
Every assembly ships 100% factory tested, with connector options in MMC, MTP/MPO and LC formats across Base-8, Base-12, Base-16 and Base-24 configurations to match varying switch and patch-panel architectures. Fiber choices include single-mode ITU-T G.657.A2 fiber in 200 μm or 250 μm diameters for bend-insensitive routing, and OM4 multimode fiber for shorter, cost-optimized indoor links. Both product lines use STL's patented IBR rollable ribbon technology with color-coded bonded ribbon design for faster splicing at scale.
STL frames the launch as a response to duct and tray space constraints
Dr. Badri Gomatam, CTO of STL, said data center customers are all solving for more capacity in less time, and that the trunk assemblies arrive pre-tested and ready to connect. STL positions Ultra Low Loss connector performance grades across both portfolios as a way to meet stringent optical budget requirements as rack density increases.
