Charlotte, N.C. – – September 17, 2026 -- TAT Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: TATT) has agreed to supply its Universal Cooling System (UCS) to Beyond Aero, a French aerospace startup building what it calls the world's first hydrogen-electric business aircraft.
Beyond Aero targets 800 nautical miles on hydrogen-electric propulsion
Beyond Aero's clean-sheet aircraft, named ONE, is designed to carry six passengers up to 800 nautical miles (1,500 km) — roughly five times the range of comparable battery-powered aircraft. The Toulouse-based company, founded in 2020, employs more than 80 aerospace engineers across operations in Toulouse, Paris and Los Angeles.
TAT's UCS enters integration phase for the ONE aircraft design
Beyond Aero is currently integrating TAT's Universal Cooling System into the ONE design. The UCS is built as a scalable, integrated thermal management platform intended to meet the compact size, weight and performance constraints of electric and hydrogen-electric aircraft, with cooling performance engineered across varied operating conditions.
Partnership targets one of aviation's hardest decarbonization segments
Business aviation ranks among the most difficult aerospace segments to decarbonize, and the collaboration pairs Beyond Aero's fuel-cell and gaseous hydrogen tank integration work with TAT's thermal management engineering. TAT CEO Igal Zamir said the Universal Cooling System was designed for flexibility, efficiency and reliability, calling those attributes critical for emerging aircraft platforms.
Yannick Schwartzenbart, Beyond Aero's Head of Program Industrialization, said the partnership builds the industrial ecosystem around the company's hydrogen-electric aircraft program, adding that TAT's experience with mission-critical thermal systems strengthens the reliability case for the aircraft architecture.
