Taipei – October 06, 2026 -- Techman Robot has become the first vision AI cobot manufacturer worldwide to obtain IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 (SL2) cybersecurity certification, following an independent assessment by DEKRA for its TM AI Cobot S Series.
DEKRA certification validates cybersecurity of TM AI Cobot S Series
The IEC 62443-4-2 standard specifies security requirements for components used in industrial automation and control systems. The SL2 certification gives manufacturers and system integrators an independently verified benchmark for assessing the cybersecurity capabilities of Techman Robot's cobot line as factories connect robots to equipment, production systems and data infrastructure.
Certification arrives as robots integrate deeper into connected manufacturing lines
Techman Robot's cobots run on a SEE-THINK-ACT architecture that combines built-in vision, artificial intelligence and robotic execution. Scott Huang, Chief Operating Officer of Techman Robot, said customers evaluating Physical AI deployments now weigh long-term operational safety and reliability alongside robot intelligence, not intelligence alone.
Lifecycle security mechanisms align with EU Cyber Resilience Act requirements
Beyond the certification itself, Techman Robot has implemented product lifecycle cybersecurity mechanisms for the TM AI Cobot covering vulnerability management, incident reporting and security updates. The company stated these mechanisms are being strengthened in line with the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), positioning the product line for compliance as EU cybersecurity rules for connected industrial hardware tighten.
