Barcelona – October 14, 2026 -- Temu has received the Cross-Border Magazine Award for its role in Europe's digital economy, with a company survey showing 34% of EU-based local sellers have expanded into new international markets since joining the platform.
The award was presented at a ceremony in Barcelona on 1 October 2026. Cross-Border Magazine founder Jeroen Leenders said Temu has become "a significant part of Europe's e-commerce landscape."
Local Seller Programme gives merchants ERP and carrier access
Temu launched the Local Seller Programme in 2024 as an additional sales channel for European businesses, both in their home markets and abroad. Sellers can connect existing business software through more than 200 ERP integrations. They can also use a network of more than 150 delivery providers across Europe, including DHL Group and La Poste.
Temu held 100-plus meetings with trade bodies to shape the programme
Over the past year, Temu met trade associations, chambers of commerce and start-up networks more than 100 times. Those talks repeatedly identified complexity, cost and connection as the main barriers to e-commerce growth. Temu says they shaped the programme's focus on simpler market access, affordable operations and dedicated local support.
Temu survey reports half of local sellers have scaled up
The company surveyed local sellers in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and the UK. Half of participants said they had increased production capacity, hired additional staff, or both since joining the platform. Among EU-based respondents, 34% reported expansion into new international markets. The survey was conducted by Temu, and the source gives no sample size.
A Temu spokesperson said sellers want simpler, more affordable ways to reach new customers alongside local support, and that the company will continue helping them grow at home and abroad.
