Plano, Texas – September 23, 2026 -- Ten US streaming service profiles were phased out in the second quarter of 2026 as providers rebrand, consolidate content, or shift to alternative distribution models, according to Parks Associates' Streaming Video Tracker.
Paramount Skydance folds BET+ into flagship Paramount+ platform
Paramount Skydance ended BET+ as a standalone service, migrating its content library into Paramount+ under a dedicated BET Hub. The move reflects a broader industry pattern of consolidating niche streaming brands into larger flagship platforms rather than maintaining separate apps.
Sports content shifts to FAST channels and rival platforms
The sports streaming segment saw significant realignment during the quarter. FIFA+ moved its content to DAZN, RidePass converted to operate solely as a free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel, and FanDuel Sports Network shut down both its television channels and streaming operations entirely.
Additional content migrations included CTV Throwback and Movies relocating to Crave, OHL Live transitioning its digital streaming to FloHockey, and Barça One being replaced by Barça Play, now integrated directly into FC Barcelona's app and website.
Tracker adds two new FAST and AVOD services, reaching 370 US profiles
Parks Associates added two new services to its tracker in Q2 2026: OG Network, which operates as an advertising-based video on demand (AVOD) and FAST service, and TrueTVplus, a FAST platform offering sports, independent films, documentaries, and lifestyle programming. The additions bring the Streaming Video Tracker's total coverage to 370 service profiles in the US and 234 in Canada.
"Streaming services continue to experiment with the best ways to reach and monetize audiences," said Michael Goodman, Director, Entertainment Research, Parks Associates. He noted that content moving from standalone apps to larger platforms and FAST channels demonstrates how quickly distribution strategies are shifting.
