Allen-Vanguard Launches SECURIS Mobile Counter-Drone Trailer at DSEi

London – October 21, 2026 -- Allen-Vanguard is launching SECURIS, a mobile counter-drone trailer built with four partner companies, at DSEi 25 in London. The system combines RF detection, radar, optical recognition and RF jamming on one rapidly deployable platform.

Four specialist partners supply detection and defeat layers

Metis, Blighter, Openworks and EdeyFX joined Allen-Vanguard on the project. Metis contributes its SKYPERION RF detection, which the source says NATO allies use in various integrated systems. Blighter provides radar target acquisition through its A400 series. Openworks supplies the Vision Flex optical recognition system, with long-range imagers, slew-to-cue capability and twin AI modules for detection, tracking and identification.

Allen-Vanguard adds its ANCILE C-UAS RF Effectors for the defeat function. EdeyFX built the bespoke trailer chassis, with layout informed by operational input.

SIG SAUER Unveils XRAY9-CUAS Optic for Drone Defense at AUSA

Newington, N.H. – October 13, 2026 -- SIG SAUER has introduced the XRAY9-CUAS, a counter-unmanned aircraft systems (CUAS) electro-optic that tracks and engages drones at up to 300 yards, at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) trade show.

The optic mounts to a counter-UAS weapon system and uses electro-optical technologies similar to the targeting system in SIG SAUER's remote-controlled weapon station. A soldier can point and shoot while the optic compensates for a range of factors, according to the company.

XRAY9-CUAS calculates drone distance, speed and vector with a proprietary SWIR laser rangefinder

The system pairs the SWIR laser rangefinder with onboard slew-rate sensors. Together they compute a drone's distance, speed and vector, then generate a custom disturbed reticle with dynamic targeting solutions.

Raytheon Completes Three Tests of Coyote Block 2C+RM Upgrades

Tucson – – October 12, 2026 -- Raytheon, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, completed three developmental tests of its Coyote Block 2C+RM interceptor upgrades, taking the program from concept to testing in 15 months. The company funded the test events itself.

Raytheon funds upgrades for an urgent joint U.S. military counter-drone mission

The tests support a joint U.S. military mission to counter evolving drone threats. The Block 2C+RM upgrade builds on current Coyote variants, which have intercepted hundreds of drones in combat.

Upgrade adds rocket motor, new seeker and new warhead

Block 2C+RM integrates a rocket motor for faster launch and flight. It also adds a new seeker and warhead designed to defeat all classes of current and emerging drone threats.
