Pittsburgh – September 19, 2026 -- An independent inventor from McDonough, Georgia, has developed a wearable device called the AUXILIARY VEST, designed to replace the traditional mechanic's creeper used for repairs under vehicles and equipment.
Inventor targets discomfort of rolling under vehicles for repairs
The inventor said the goal was to create "a quick and easy way to roll under a vehicle or other item when making repairs" without the physical strain of positioning the body on a standard creeper. The device uses a low-profile design intended to improve mobility for users working beneath cars, trucks, equipment, or in tight spaces such as attics.
