Chicago – September 28, 2026 -- Trintech unveiled three new AI agents at its Trintech Connect 2026 conference, expanding its financial close automation portfolio to five agents that execute work directly rather than merely surfacing insights.
Trintech adds Data Access, Accruals Intelligence and Exception Management agents to its AI platform
The Trintech Data Access Agent, Trintech Accruals Intelligence Agent and Trintech Exception Management Agent build on capabilities introduced earlier in 2026 with the Trintech Flux Agent and Trintech Variance Analysis Agent. The five agents now cover data preparation, accrual management and exception resolution within the same controls, approvals and audit trails finance teams already use.

The Data Access Agent connects to, retrieves, cleans, reshapes and delivers financial data from a range of sources, including systems difficult to reach through traditional integrations. It replaces manual exports and format reconciliation with a governed pipeline that routes data to other automation agents while giving finance and IT teams full visibility into how data moves and changes.
Accruals Intelligence Agent recommends accrual amounts based on historical patterns
The Accruals Intelligence Agent reviews historical activity and prior period patterns to recommend accrual amounts instead of repeating fixed template figures, and it catches true-ups and reversals before they become problems. Estimates falling outside historical trends are flagged automatically. The agent tracks its own accuracy over time by preparer, account and methodology, with every recommendation carrying evidence, methodology, approvals and an audit trail.
Exception Management Agent investigates root causes and groups related cases
The Exception Management Agent identifies, classifies and prioritizes exceptions as they surface, then investigates each one, names a likely root cause, attaches a confidence score, and gathers supporting evidence. It groups related exceptions under a shared root cause rather than leaving teams to work through them individually, with every finding and action logged and visible.
