West Chester, Ohio – September 21, 2026 -- Upside Innovations, a SixAxis company, has launched FlowRail, a patent-pending prefabricated aluminum guardrail system that adjusts continuously in the field across slopes, curves, corners and grade changes without custom fabrication or on-site welding.
Adjustable base spans 0 to 20 degrees for any ramp or platform
FlowRail's continuously adjustable base moves from 0° to 20°, keeping posts plumb on ramps, walkways or platforms. Pivoting connections follow curves, corners and switchbacks without splice castings or custom fittings, allowing a single product line to cover an entire installation run.
Ordering simplified to linear-foot basis, cutting design and install time
Customers can order FlowRail by the linear foot without detailed drawings or fitting takeoffs. The system ships with all required hardware and is assembled using basic hand tools, eliminating the need for welding or on-site fabrication.
System meets OSHA 1910.29 and 1926.502 standards
FlowRail is built from 6061/6063 aluminum in mill or powder-coated finishes and is OSHA-compliant under 1910.29 and 1926.502. Mounting options include top mount for ramps and decks and side mount for vertical concrete or metal substrates.

FlowRail is designed and manufactured in West Chester, Ohio, and is currently in stock and ready to ship, with no tariff exposure due to domestic production. Target applications include loading and dock ramps, equipment platforms, elevated walkways, catwalks, mezzanines, industrial stair landings, switchback runs, dock transitions and outdoor pedestrian walkways.
