Sweetwater deal makes UROY largest U.S. non-precious metal royalty platform

The July 2026 transaction expanded the company's land position to more than 5.3 million acres, making UROY the largest landowner in Wyoming and the second-largest publicly traded landowner in the United States. The deal also added trona and soda ash exposure alongside the company's core uranium royalty business.

Cameco and Paladin maintain or exceed production guidance at key assets

Cameco Corporation reiterated 2026 guidance of 17.5-18.0 million pounds at Cigar Lake and 14.0-16.5 million pounds at McArthur River/Key Lake, unchanged despite temporary disruptions. Paladin Energy Ltd. reported that its Langer Heinrich operation exceeded fiscal 2026 guidance, producing 4.82 million pounds against a 4.5-4.8 million pound target, with further growth outlined for 2027.

Soda ash operators positioned at low end of global cost curve

Despite macro headwinds facing the global soda ash industry, UROY's Wyoming-based royalty portfolio is concentrated among low-cost operators, keeping production relatively stable and supporting planned expansions.

Company leases 38,000 acres to test oil and gas potential

The leased acreage sits near established oil and gas production and represents an initial step in monetizing the expanded Sweetwater land holdings across critical minerals and energy development.

CEO Scott Melbye said the Sweetwater transaction transformed UROY into "the largest American publicly traded non-precious metal royalty and streaming platform," while the company remains the only uranium-focused royalty firm in its sector.
