Denton, Texas – September 19, 2026 -- Vacuum Interrupters Inc. has introduced the LRTS10, the first digital micro-ohmmeter built on the Milwaukee M18 REDLITHIUM battery platform, targeting technicians who service medium-voltage switchgear, busbar joints, and cable terminations.
Battery swap replaces downtime for recharging cycles
Rather than pausing to recharge a proprietary battery, crews can swap in a fresh Milwaukee M18 pack and resume testing immediately. The LRTS10 is compatible with all M18 batteries, allowing utilities and contractors already using Milwaukee tools to power the test set with packs already stocked on service trucks.
Each unit ships with an M18 XC5.0 battery rated for over 1,100 tests
The standard package includes test leads, a cable bag, a charger, and an M18 XC5.0 battery. Vacuum Interrupters states the battery can deliver more than 1,100 tests before requiring a recharge or swap.
Device offers six selectable currents with 1.0 microohm resolution
The LRTS10 provides six user-selectable test currents, with resolution to 1.0 microohm and measurement accuracy of 0.2% plus 5.0 microohms on the 10 A range. It performs four-wire Kelvin measurements to verify low-resistance connections in switchgear and circuit breakers, bolted busbar joints, cable lugs, transformers, motors, and ground and bonding connections.
Instrument targets field, shop, and lab testing environments
Vacuum Interrupters positions the LRTS10 for use across field service, workshop, and laboratory settings wherever connection integrity must be confirmed on medium-voltage electrical equipment.
