Luxembourg – September 24, 2026 -- Verneek, the New York-based enterprise AI company, plans to establish its first European office in Luxembourg, marking its formal entry into the region's retail and luxury sector five years after the company's founding.

Verneek picks Luxembourg as regional launchpad over other EU hubs

The deep-tech firm selected Luxembourg for its central location, multilingual business community, market connectivity, and role in shaping EU-wide policy, according to the company. The move, subject to final agreements, positions Luxembourg as Verneek's base for deepening ties with global retailers, luxury houses, and consumer brands operating across fragmented European markets and languages.

Retail and wholesale sector, Europe's largest private employer, drives expansion rationale

Dr. Nasrin Mostafazadeh, co-founder and CEO of Verneek, said retail and wholesale together form Europe's largest private-sector employer, facing mounting operational headwinds that its AI-native platform is designed to address. Verneek's platform creates a centralized intelligence layer linking front- and back-office functions, unifying fragmented data across merchandising, planning, store operations, clienteling, e-commerce, and executive decision-making.

Board includes former Moët Hennessy and Maersk chief executives

Verneek's investors and board members bring European and global leadership experience, including Philippe Schaus, former president and global CEO of Moët Hennessy and global chairman and CEO of DFS Group, now a director of Exemplar Luxury Group. The board also includes Nils Smedegaard Andersen, chair of ASML's Supervisory Board and former group chief executive of A.P. Møller–Mærsk and chair of Unilever.

Luxembourg's Consul General in New York backs company's local expertise plans

Luc Decker, Consul General of Luxembourg in New York, said the expansion offers an opportunity to build local expertise and help European businesses apply artificial intelligence in practice, adding that Luxembourg will support Verneek's founders as they establish a European presence.

Platform already serves tens of millions of consumers and hundreds of thousands of employees

The European expansion coincides with Verneek's fifth anniversary. The company's technology currently supports tens of millions of consumers and several hundred thousand employees across Fortune 500 consumer enterprises, according to Verneek, which credits the platform with helping clients increase productivity, accelerate decision-making, and personalize customer experiences.
