Kalispell, Mont. – October 01, 2026 -- Vero Broadband, LLC, operating as Vero Fiber, has completed its merger with Montana Sky Networks Incorporated, known as MontanaSky, combining two broadband providers active in Northwest Montana.
Merger unites a 30-year-old local provider with a national fiber network operator
MontanaSky, founded in 1993 and operating offices in Kalispell and Libby, Montana, has spent more than three decades serving the Flathead Valley region. Vero Fiber, a subsidiary of VFN Holdings, Inc., specializes in fiber-to-the-premises networks and has expanded through acquisitions and investment in rural and underserved U.S. markets.
Combined entity targets faster fiber expansion across Northwest Montana
The merged organization plans to accelerate fiber infrastructure buildout to homes, businesses, schools, and healthcare providers across the region. Vero Fiber CEO Sunita Krishna said the deal creates an organization with greater resources and investment capacity to expand fiber access and improve customer experience.
MontanaSky CEO Ryan Bowman said the merger allows the combined networks to invest more aggressively in fiber expansion while giving customers greater choice and reliability.
Deal follows pattern of consolidation in underserved U.S. broadband markets
The transaction extends Vero Fiber's strategy of combining local broadband operators with national infrastructure investment to reach rural communities. No financial terms of the merger were disclosed.
