DALLAS -- September 01, 2026 -- Visual One Intelligence on Aug. 31, 2026 secured FinOps Certified Platform status from the FinOps Foundation, the Linux Foundation body that oversees the FinOps Framework and the FOCUS specification. The certification confirms the Dallas-based Hybrid FinOps and IT Operations Management platform passed a 90 percent threshold across weighted capability criteria set by the Foundation. Visual One Intelligence submitted a recorded product demonstration as evidence and met staffing requirements for FinOps Certified Practitioners, Professionals, and FOCUS Analysts.

The FinOps Foundation restricts this designation to member organizations that demonstrate measurable, publicly verifiable alignment to its Framework Capabilities. Visual One Intelligence was assessed across ten capability domains: data ingestion, cost allocation, reporting and analytics, anomaly management, forecasting, budgeting, unit economics, rate and usage optimization, governance, and invoicing and chargeback. The platform also qualified under the Foundation's supplemental criteria for extending FinOps practice beyond public cloud environments.
Hybrid infrastructure leaves cost reporting fragmented, executive says
Phil Godwin, President and Chief Operating Officer of Visual One Intelligence, said IT leaders frequently arrive with detailed cloud cost reporting but no method to connect it to the rest of their infrastructure, forcing placement and budget decisions on incomplete data. Most enterprises run workloads across hyperscalers, private cloud, colocation sites, and on-premises storage and compute rather than exclusively in public cloud. FinOps platforms built only for public cloud report on a fraction of that footprint, pushing teams toward manual reconciliation to determine where technology spend actually lands.
FOCUS-conformant schema unifies on-premises and cloud cost data
Jeff Symons, Senior Vice President of Product at Visual One Intelligence, said on-premises capacity and cloud consumption now resolve to the same FOCUS-conformant schema. That structure lets a customer query billed cost, effective cost, and amortized commitment spend across an entire estate using one set of dimensions, removing dependence on which team exported which report for allocation accuracy.
