Vortex CEO ties deal to UK water sector's AMP8 spending commitments
"AMP8 represents a significant commitment to improving the UK's water and wastewater infrastructure, but ultimately that investment has to translate into work delivered in the field," said Mike Vellano, Chief Executive Officer of Vortex Companies. He added that Torrent's familiarity with McAllister's customers and standards gives Vortex added capacity and flexibility as UK infrastructure investment accelerates.
Integration aims to sharpen project scheduling and mobilization
Dan Watson, SVP of Vortex International, said combining Torrent's resources with McAllister improves planning, mobilization and execution, giving the company greater control over scheduling and field resources to meet customer requirements with more flexibility.
Torrent's operations will now operate under McAllister, extending the unit's trenchless rehabilitation capacity and field resources across the UK. Vortex operates more than 60 locations worldwide, offering CIPP liners, geopolymer and hybrid mortars, polymeric coatings, resins, grouts, UV curing systems, sewer robotics and drain-cleaning equipment.
