Destin, Fla. – October 02, 2026 -- Awayday, a national vacation rental management company, has closed a strategic investment from Warburg Pincus through its Capital Solutions Founders Fund, with terms of the deal undisclosed.
Ares and LightBay Capital retain control despite new capital infusion
An Ares Private Equity fund and LightBay Capital, Awayday's existing majority owners, will remain the controlling shareholders following the transaction. Awayday currently manages more than 18,000 properties across the United States through a portfolio of local brands, backed by a workforce exceeding 1,800 employees.
Proceeds flow to investors, operators and staff
Awayday will direct the investment proceeds toward returning capital to existing equity holders, including Ares, LightBay and rollover equity partners. The company said it will also distribute proceeds to local operators and team members involved in its growth under its field-first operating model.
