San Francisco – October 16, 2026 -- Wink, the video and image editing platform of Meitu, has launched a browser-based HD Video Converter that exports enhanced footage at 1080p, 2K or 4K and processes multiple files in a single cloud job.
The tool targets creators, e-commerce sellers, social media teams and everyday users who reuse existing footage. According to the company, video from phones and cameras often passes through several stages before publication, including compressed copies made during transfer and versions downloaded from social platforms. By then, details can be softer, lighting uneven and compression artifacts more visible.
Scene-adaptive processing adjusts to lighting, motion and depth within a single recording
Wink says the converter changes its processing as conditions shift within a clip. It factors in motion and depth alongside light. The company says it reduces grainy noise, refines fine textures and corrects color while retaining the original movement and composition. Smoothing and sharpening are limited to preserve natural light and skin texture.
Users can export 1080p, 2K or 4K files from MP4, MOV or MKV sources
Users choose the output resolution for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. Recordings in MP4, MOV or MKV formats from other devices can be imported for conversion.
Cloud batch conversion reduces reliance on local computing power
Processing runs online, so conversion does not depend on the power of a local computer. Batch conversion handles multiple files in one job, which Wink positions for sellers updating catalogues of product clips and teams preparing posts on deadline. Users can upload a group of files together instead of starting a separate job for each.
Single recordings yield HD video, still frames and Live Photos
At the end of a job, users can download the enhanced HD video or high-quality still frames. A chosen highlight can also be converted into a Live Photo. Wink says a social media team could pull a clear frame for a cover image or supporting post, while an e-commerce seller could process several product demonstrations together.
Wink spokesperson Daniel Carter said the converter keeps fine textures natural while responding to changes in light, movement and depth, giving existing recordings more than one use.
Meitu reported 276 million monthly active users worldwide as of December 31, 2025, including 100 million outside Mainland China. The HD Video Converter is available directly through a web browser.
