Bangkok -- September 7, 2026 -- Wooree Group, a South Korean biotechnology and lighting conglomerate with 60 years of history, has called for a scientific validation standard for the liposomal health products market, following its participation in Vitafoods Asia 2026 held September 2-4 in Bangkok.
CEO proposes 'Six Pillars' framework to curb unverified liposome claims
Wooree Group CEO Ji-yong Yoon told a briefing session at the trade show that objective standards for evaluating liposomal product quality remain absent despite rapid market growth. Yoon said some products are marketed as 'liposomal' merely because particle size was measured or phospholipids are present, without confirming actual liposome formation or in-vivo delivery potential. He introduced a proprietary six-step validation framework covering Cryo-TEM structure verification, NTA-based particle size and concentration analysis, encapsulation efficiency, long-term shelf stability, gastrointestinal stability, and pharmacokinetic bioavailability evaluation.
LIPOPRIME ingredient line claims up to 24-times higher particle concentration
Built on this framework, Wooree Green Science has developed LIPOPRIME, a proprietary liposomal ingredient brand spanning approximately 40 ingredients including Vitamin C, glutathione, omega-3, and curcumin. NTA analysis showed select LIPOPRIME ingredients achieved particle concentrations up to 24 times higher than competing market alternatives.

Participating for the second consecutive year, Wooree Group presented an end-to-end bio ecosystem linking Wooree Green Science (ingredients), Wooree Bio (manufacturing), and consumer brands Harutin and Clarion. The booth received the Silver Award at the Sustainability Booth Design Awards, organized by Informa Markets, for its eco-friendly structure, reusable materials, and waste-reduction measures.
