WovenX Health Wins 1871 Industry Disrupter Award for GI Access Model

Chicago – September 23, 2026 -- WovenX Health, a Chicago-based specialty care platform, has won the Industry Disrupter Award at 1871's 19th Annual Momentum Awards for its model expanding access to gastroenterology care.

National GI wait times average 40 days as two-thirds of U.S. counties lack a specialist

One in five Americans is affected by a gastrointestinal condition, yet the average wait for a GI consult has grown to 40 days nationally, according to the company. GI-related visits account for 10% of all emergency department visits, 86% of which WovenX says are avoidable with timely specialty access.

WovenX platform delivers virtual GI visits with an 11-minute median wait

WovenX connects patients to guidelines-based GI care through a national provider network, offering OnDemand virtual visits with no advance appointment required and a median wait time of 11 minutes. Its Fast Track pathway is designed to move patients from initial assessment to screening or procedural care with reduced friction, including follow-up colonoscopy scheduling.

Precision Supervision model pairs AI guideline checks with physician oversight

The platform's Precision Supervision model combines specialty-trained advanced practice providers, AI-supported guideline checks, and board-certified physician oversight, aiming to extend clinician capacity while linking virtual care to in-person services when needed.

WovenX was selected from finalists across eight award categories

The company was chosen by a panel of Chicago investors, operators, and industry leaders, and was recognized alongside other 2026 Momentum Award winners including Deloitte, Jeremie Bacon, Eventnoire, Tim Huelskamp, Changed, Letter AI, and noto. Sheri Rudberg, Co-Founder and CEO of WovenX Health, said the award reflects the company's mission to match patients with the right clinician at the right moment in their care journey.

Company plans to extend its care model beyond gastroenterology

WovenX launched in gastroenterology with its OnDemand and Fast Track products and intends to apply the same specialty-access model to additional medical specialties.
