Shanghai – September 29, 2026 -- YR Fitness plans to expand its one-stop commercial gym supply model by adding design and fit-out services, letting gym owners manage equipment sourcing and physical build-out through a single partner.
YR Fitness will phase in design and fit-out services based on market demand
The company, which has manufactured strength equipment in-house for nearly 30 years, said the rollout will occur in phases tied to specific market and project needs rather than a single simultaneous launch.
George Yang says the goal is consolidating more of the gym-build process under one team
"Opening a gym already means managing enough moving parts," said George Yang, founder and chief designer of YR Fitness. "If we can make equipment sourcing, planning, delivery and after-sales easier, we should. The next step is helping customers manage more of the project through the same team."
YR sources cardio and accessories from specialist manufacturers while retaining quality control
For cardio equipment and accessories, YR works with category-specific manufacturing partners rather than producing everything internally. The company says it remains involved in supplier selection, specifications, key components, sample and durability testing, final inspection and product improvements based on customer feedback -- regardless of which manufacturer produces the item.
Customers can currently bundle strength, cardio, accessories, planning and after-sales through one channel
Gym owners can already source strength equipment, cardio, accessories, layout planning, customization, shipping and after-sales support from YR as a complete package or by individual category. The company positions this as reducing the number of suppliers, shipments and after-sales contacts an operator must coordinate, particularly for businesses opening multiple locations or replacing equipment over time.
Design and fit-out mark the next extension of YR's existing supply structure
YR said design and fit-out services are intended to extend its existing model further -- covering the full path from an empty commercial space to an operating gym -- while keeping equipment sourcing, project coordination and after-sales support under the same partner structure. YR currently serves customers in more than 110 countries.
