Zoomlion Humanoid Robots Compete at Beijing World Games

Beijing – September 18, 2026 -- Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. fielded its self-developed humanoid robots in the standing high jump, 100-meter sprint and standing long jump at the second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, testing gait algorithms and joint responsiveness under high-speed, complex control conditions.

Zoomlion robots complete three demanding athletic events against global competitors

The machines delivered consistent performances across all three disciplines, demonstrating integration of hardware architecture, AI algorithms and motion-control systems. Zeng Guang, general manager of Zoomlion's ZValley, said the competitions assessed AI capabilities and real-world deployment readiness beyond raw speed and strength, allowing the company to benchmark its technology against international teams and refine reliability for industrial settings.

Company has deployed dozens of humanoid robots across smart factories

Zoomlion's robots currently perform material sorting, cable-harness tying, component preassembly, precision assembly, finished-product inspection and factory patrols. The bipedal Z01 uses AI-powered imitation learning to organize randomly placed objects and tie cable harnesses with precision. The wheeled Z03 independently handles preassembly of mirrors for industrial equipment, meeting accuracy requirements on production lines.

Real-world data from over 2,000 industrial robots feeds continuous AI refinement

Zoomlion draws on operating data from more than 300 intelligent production lines and over 2,000 industrial robots running year-round to refine AI models and algorithms. The company's portfolio spans bipedal and wheeled humanoid robots as well as quadruped robots, with in-house capabilities covering core components, operating systems, complete robot systems and industrial applications.

Zoomlion says it is the only high-end equipment manufacturer to have developed and deployed embodied AI robots, and plans to continue scaling humanoid robot deployments across industrial manufacturing, specialized operations and smart services.
