Apollo Athenaa's clinical volumes in its debut year include over 4,000 chemotherapy cycles, more than 100 plastic and breast reconstruction procedures, and 120-plus VABB (vacuum-assisted breast biopsy) procedures. The centre built an integrated care model spanning breast and gynaecological oncology, reconstruction, medical and precision oncology, diagnostics and rehabilitation.
Diagnostic infrastructure combines AI imaging, next-generation sequencing and robotic surgery
The facility deploys AI-enabled breast imaging, advanced diagnostics, next-generation sequencing and robotic surgery, supported by a dedicated gynaecological oncology programme for complex cancer cases. An AI-enabled Cancer Navigator coordinates patient pathways across clinical teams and technology platforms.
Lymphedema clinic gains international accreditation as centre expands beyond treatment
Athenaa has launched a Comprehensive Lymphedema Clinic accredited by the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN), combining diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation and long-term follow-up. The centre's ProHealth programme adds personalised assessments aimed at prevention and early detection.
International delegations from six countries attend anniversary event
The first-anniversary event drew ambassadors and representatives from Niger, Tanzania, Chad, Benin, Gambia and Nicaragua, pointing to international interest in specialised, women-focused cancer care models.
