Capacity Sports Group Buys 78-Acre LakePoint Site, Leases Champions Center

Atlanta – October 14, 2026 -- Capacity Sports Group now owns the 78-acre LakePoint Sports property in Emerson, Ga., comprising the Baseball Village and Publix Fields, and holds a lease to operate the 170,000-square-foot Champions Center Indoor Pavilion.

Capacity takes ownership of two venues and leases a third at LakePoint

The transaction expands the multisport operations of the youth sports company, which brings together event brands, operators and facilities. The source does not disclose financial terms. LakePoint Sports sits near Atlanta and welcomes millions of guests annually.

Three venues anchor the destination. The Baseball Village has eight major league-sized synthetic turf fields. The Champions Center accommodates 12 basketball courts or 24 volleyball courts. Publix Fields offers three multiuse turf fields for soccer, lacrosse and football.

Prep Baseball's tournament record at LakePoint dates to 2019

Prep Baseball, part of Capacity, has run tournaments at LakePoint since 2019, including the National Program Invitational, National Championships and Future Games. The deal builds on that baseball presence and opens room to grow programming across additional sports.

"Our success in baseball provides a strong foundation to grow across more sports and communities," said CEO Ken Kocher.

Capacity has added five businesses since its January 2026 launch

Capacity was introduced in January 2026 after the merger of Prep Baseball and Bullpen Ventures. Their leadership teams have had a relationship dating to 2010. The combined group spans Prep Baseball tournaments and showcases, Top Tier teams and Bullpen's multisport experiences. It links scouting, showcases, media and player development with tournament programming and venue operations.

Since launch, Capacity has added Play9 Sports, United Sports, YSC Sports, Sideline Soccer Solutions and Flag Football Life. Those additions extend its reach into Midwest baseball and softball tournaments, Philadelphia-area multisport facilities, soccer events and flag football leagues and competitions.

The company's strategic focus covers baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball and flag football. President Blake Hibler said bringing facilities and programming closer together lets Capacity draw on expertise across the group.
