Singapore – September 29, 2026 -- Castrol has launched Castrol CORE, an integrated thermal management offer that shifts the company from selling standalone cooling products to providing end-to-end design, deployment and lifecycle services for data centres.
Castrol moves from product sales to full-service thermal management partnerships
Under Castrol CORE, the company will engage customers earlier in data centre infrastructure development, adding design capabilities to its existing deployment, start-up, operation and maintenance support. Castrol says the change responds to industry research showing growing demand for integrated thermal management solutions that cut the complexity of coordinating multiple suppliers, alongside concerns over supply chain disruption and the high cost of cooling-system failure.
Cooling technology validated with NVIDIA and Intel underpins the new offer
Castrol's cooling technologies have been tested and validated with chip and hardware manufacturers including NVIDIA and Intel, intended to give customers assurance the systems can support next-generation AI infrastructure. The offer draws on Castrol's technology and testing facilities in the UK, US, Germany and China, joint laboratories across Asia, and a service network spanning more than 150 countries for ongoing on-ground testing, validation and monitoring.
Asia Pacific design team drives early proof-of-concept deployments
Castrol has built a regional data centre design team in Asia Pacific supported by local specialists, citing the pace at which the region is adopting new cooling infrastructure. The company has completed a proof-of-concept programme with a leading data centre operator in China and is now running additional proof-of-concept projects with global operators.
Peter Huang, Global President of Data Centre and Thermal Management at Castrol, said customers want experienced partners rather than standalone products, and that Castrol is combining proven technology, global reach and design expertise to support projects at every stage.
Cooling offer built on 127 years of fluid engineering, with room to expand
Castrol CORE draws on more than 127 years of experience formulating fluids for mission-critical applications. The offer will initially focus on data centre cooling systems, with Castrol positioning it as a platform for expanding its thermal management business into other applications over time.
