Four Moldovan Banks Adopt EVO Digital ID for Client Verification

Chisinau – September 18, 2026 -- Four Moldovan banks -- Moldindconbank, FinComBank, EuroCreditBank and Victoriabank -- have begun accepting digital identity credentials from EVO, Moldova's national government app, letting clients verify identity without presenting physical documents.
Banks replace paper ID checks with QR-code verification
Under the new integration, customers confirm identity by scanning a QR code and consenting to share only the specific data a bank requests. The verified information transfers digitally, removing the need to photocopy identity documents or manually re-enter data at branch counters.
