Dr. Miklos Toth Named Inner Circle Life Achiever 2026 for OB/GYN Work

New York – October 02, 2026 -- The Inner Circle has named Miklos Toth, M.D., a Life Achiever 2026 for more than 35 years of contributions to obstetrics and gynecology, recognizing both his clinical research and humanitarian medical work in Uganda.

Dr. Toth co-founded a rural Ugandan health center that operates monthly outreach clinics

Dr. Toth and his wife, Elena Toth, established the Millennium Health Foundation and the Miklos and Elena Toth Health Center, located roughly 400 kilometers northeast of Kampala. The center delivers general obstetrics and gynecology services, with a focus on infectious disease management and 3-D Doppler ultrasound screening, operating on the first Saturday of each month and extending on-site screening to neighboring parishes. The foundation's first community initiative, Elena's Boutique, opened in July 2012 as a women's clothing shop supporting local economic independence.

New Study: 80% of Countries Fall Short of Dermatology Care Benchmark

Global – September 18, 2026 -- More than two billion people worldwide live with skin disease, yet a new benchmark study finds over 80% of countries fall below the dermatologist density needed to meet demand, with 74% of nations reporting skin health is not a national government priority.

Global dermatologist density falls nearly half short of the new benchmark

The study, which supports implementation of the World Health Assembly's 2025 Resolution on Skin Diseases as a Global Public Health Priority, establishes the first evidence-based benchmark for adequate dermatology care. It finds a global average of 2.66 dermatologists per 100,000 people, against an estimated requirement of 5.63 per 100,000.
