Trackonomy Acquires Identiv's IoT Label Unit, Forms Trackonomy Group

San Jose, Calif. – September 18, 2026 -- Trackonomy Systems has completed the acquisition of Identiv's IoT label business, creating Trackonomy Group, a vertically integrated Physical AI supply chain spanning semiconductors, smart labels, and end-to-end tracking solutions.

Three independent businesses now orchestrate nearly 20 million shipments daily

The newly formed group combines InPlay, a Bluetooth Low Energy semiconductor supplier; Identiv, a manufacturer of NFC-, RFID-, and BLE-enabled IoT labels; and Sentient, the original smart label pioneer with readers, label-application robotics, camera tunnels, and a cloud platform. Together, the three units process nearly 20 million shipments daily and are targeting more than 200 million connected assets.

Identiv Sells IoT Assets to Trackonomy, Rebrands as INVE Technologies

Santa Ana, Calif. – September 18, 2026 -- Identiv, Inc. has closed the sale of its legacy IoT business assets and Identiv brand name to Trackonomy Systems, Inc., completing a transaction that triggers the company's rename to INVE Technologies, Inc. Shares continue trading on Nasdaq under the ticker "INVE."

Company receives $50 million in Trackonomy preferred equity

Upon closing, INVE Technologies received $50 million in Trackonomy preferred equity, subject to post-closing adjustment. The two companies are working toward a definitive strategic partnership agreement to collaborate on software opportunities built on Trackonomy's physical AI platform, though terms remain unfinalized.
