New York – October 07, 2026 -- Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will support stablecoin transfers on Solana, letting U.S. Galaxy users send cross-border payments in USDC starting the last week of October 2026, the Solana Foundation announced.

Feature launches across 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices

The remittance tool is embedded directly into Samsung Wallet, the same interface users already use for cards, boarding passes and IDs. Integrated fiat on- and off-ramps will convert funds to and from local currency, with Solana's infrastructure running in the background. Additional international markets will follow, subject to local regulatory approval.

Solana Foundation Launches Open-Source DvP Settlement With J.P. Morgan Input

New York – – October 05, 2026 -- Solana Foundation launched Solana DvP, an open-source delivery-versus-payment escrow program that compresses securities settlement from one to two days into a single atomic transaction settled in seconds.

Solana DvP replaces bespoke smart contracts with one standard settlement rail

Released under the MIT license, the API provides atomic settlement, isolated escrow, and enforced deadlines for institutional trades on Solana's public blockchain. Until now, institutional onchain trades relied on custom-built smart contracts rather than a shared standard.
