Waymo Co-CEO Mawakana to Keynote CES 2027 on AV Scaling
SAN FRANCISCO – September 21, 2026 -- Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana will deliver a keynote at CES 2027, with the company's autonomous vehicles now completing over 500,000 rides every week, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced.
Mawakana will address international expansion and fleet evolution on Jan. 6, 2027
The keynote is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PST in the Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian, part of the CES 2027 event running Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas. CTA President and CEO Kinsey Fabrizio said Waymo is integrating frontier AI and robotics to build the future of mobility.

The company positions its autonomous "Driver" -- described as never tired, distracted or impaired and available 24/7 -- as a response to global road safety. Mawakana said the company is scaling a service designed to give riders a safer, more reliable transportation option.
