Berkeley, Calif. -- August 31, 2026 -- Cricket Australia has launched Cricket TV, a direct-to-consumer streaming service built on Eluvio's Content Fabric and AI Video Intelligence platform, Eluvio announced. The service, available at tv.cricket.com.au, entered early access ahead of a full commercial rollout planned later in 2026. Cricket TV combines live match streaming, archival footage, highlights, and original documentaries for cricket fans outside Cricket Australia's existing broadcast markets.
Cricket TV Reaches Fans in More Than 40 Countries During Early Access
Dan Allan, Senior Content Manager for Broadcast at Cricket Australia, said the platform has already drawn viewers in over 40 countries during its early access phase. "Cricket TV brings live matches and some of the best moments from our archive together in one place for fans around the world," Allan said. He credited Eluvio with helping deliver a high-quality viewing experience while retaining flexibility to keep evolving the platform.
Eluvio Platform Streams 4K Content With Zero-Copy Live-to-VOD Conversion
Cricket TV runs on Eluvio's Media Wallet platform, delivering a white-label browser, mobile, and connected TV application. The system ingests live and archival feeds, then transcodes and publishes streaming output at full source resolution, including HD and 4K, with low-latency HLS/DASH delivery and automatic bandwidth adaptation. The platform supports unlimited multi-view, "zero-copy" live-to-VOD conversion, and fast DVR playback, alongside subscription, pay-per-view, and ad-supported monetization models. Content security features include encryption, DRM, forensic watermarking, and dynamic geo-blocking tied to rights control.
Eluvio AI Tools Index Cricket Australia's Match Archive Without File Copies
The Eluvio Video Intelligence Editor and associated AI tools provide frame-accurate, in-line analysis, indexing, search, and composition across Cricket Australia's archive without requiring file copies or re-transcoding. The system also generates live vertical video formats directly from source content. Eluvio Content Analytics gives Cricket Australia visibility into source-to-viewer audience behavior, quality-of-service metrics, and sales data.
Eluvio CEO and co-founder Michelle Munson said the Cricket Australia deployment serves as a model for sports organizations seeking cost-effective ways to deliver protected content globally while retaining control over customer experience and viewer analytics. She said rights holders can use a single Fabric instance to reach previously unreached markets for both live and video-on-demand distribution.
