Dubai – September 08, 2026 -- DAMAC Properties has handed over more than 50,000 homes to date and awarded over USD 2.72 billion in construction contracts during the first half of 2026, as the UAE's largest private developer targets 8,800-plus residential unit deliveries this year.

The handover programme spans DAMAC Lagoons, DAMAC Hills, DAMAC Hills 2, Chic Tower and Elegance Tower. The developer currently holds more than 55,000 units and over 100 million sq. ft. of project area in planning and development, laying groundwork for deliveries extending into 2027.
Dubai handovers surge 36% as market capacity tightens
Dubai completed nearly 25,000 new homes in the first half of 2026, a 36 percent increase over the same period last year, according to data cited in the release. Cushman & Wakefield Core research shows 13,200-plus units delivered in Q2 2026 alone, with roughly 32,000 additional units expected in the second half of the year, intensifying pressure on contractor performance and delivery execution across the market.
DAMAC Lagoons drives the bulk of 2026 handovers
DAMAC Lagoons accounts for the largest share of this year's delivery programme, with approximately 6,300 homes targeted for handover compared with around 513 in 2025. Infrastructure, landscaping and associated works have surpassed 80 percent completion, with the community's roughly 177,000 sq. m of water bodies -- equivalent to about 141 Olympic-size swimming pools -- being commissioned in phases.
DAMAC Hills nears completion; DAMAC Hills 2 to deliver 1,500 villas
DAMAC Hills has reached approximately 85 percent completion and handover, with luxury residences at Cavalli Estates and Utopia being delivered this year. DAMAC Hills 2 will hand over more than 1,500 villas in 2026, while high-rise deliveries continue at Chic Tower in Business Bay and Elegance Tower in Downtown Dubai.
