DoGo Power Plans 200+ Grid-Forming ESS Units for Ukrainian Farms

Kyiv – October 14, 2026 -- DoGo Power plans to deploy more than 200 smart grid-forming energy storage systems (ESS) across research bases and experimental farms of Ukraine's Institute of Horticulture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (IH NAAS), one of three cooperation agreements it reached at EcoEnergy Expo 2026.

Ukraine's 2030 storage target drives demand

Ukraine has set an official target of 1.5 to 2 GW of installed energy storage capacity by 2030. The country's agricultural supply chain is increasingly dependent on stable electricity and distributed energy resources, according to the company. That dependence is raising demand for storage integrated with agricultural production and research.

IH NAAS rollout targets outage-related data loss

DoGo Power will deliver the 200+ units in batches over the coming years. The company says the systems address test data loss and unstable production power caused by grid outages at agricultural research sites. It also reached an agreement with local industrial partner NotaTrade and with MIF to provide channel partners and end users with ESS and full-lifespan service guarantees.

Grid-forming platform switches to off-grid mode in 20 milliseconds

The 4S platform integrates four systems: EMS, PMS, PCS and BMS. It uses a three-layer "Dispatch-Coordination-Control" architecture. DoGo Power claims millisecond-level response and seamless grid-tied/off-grid switching within 20 milliseconds. The system is rated to operate in weak grid environments with a Short Circuit Ratio (SCR) of 1 or above. Eco series AI tools optimize energy dispatch and operating parameters to cut full-lifespan operation and maintenance costs.

1.672 MWh container cuts footprint by 35%

For commercial and industrial customers, the flagship 1.672 MWh 10-foot container consolidates the functions of six 260kWh+ ESS cabinets, one combiner cabinet, one on/off-grid cabinet and one isolation transformer. DoGo Power says this lowers initial CAPEX by 1.2 US cents per Wh and reduces footprint by 35%. The company also cites lower field labour costs and project timelines shortened by 5 to 7 days.

The unit operates as a self-contained micro-grid and supports multi-energy inputs. Finely graded capacity options and compatibility with third-party inverters let owners right-size systems and reuse existing assets.

Workshop links grid experts with agricultural researchers

DoGo Power hosted a workshop titled "Scenario-oriented + Grid-Forming + AI" alongside the exhibition. Grid technology experts, agricultural research institutions and industry partners discussed business models for grid-forming storage. Topics included grid stability, distributed energy coordination and integrated agricultural source-grid-load-storage systems.
