Rimini, Italy – October 01, 2026 -- Ecomondo 2026 will gather roughly 1,800 exhibiting brands at Rimini Expo Centre from November 3 to 6, with international exhibitor participation rising 10% year-on-year, organizer Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) announced.
Show footprint expands to 169,000 square metres across 30 halls
The 29th edition of the circular and regenerative economy event will occupy 169,000 square metres and span 30 exhibition halls. More than 1,000 hosted buyers from around the world are expected, backed by support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), according to Event Director Alessandra Astolfi.
Conference agenda puts EU Circular Economy Act under scrutiny
More than 70 conferences, curated by Ecomondo's International Technical Scientific Committee chaired by Professor Fabio Fava, will examine the European Circular Economy Act, including dedicated sessions with CONAI on packaging and UTILITALIA on waste management. A separate programme developed by Ecomondo's Textile Working Group will address the textile sector's role in Europe's circular transition.
States General of the Green Economy opens the event on November 3
The programme launches with the States General of the Green Economy on November 3–4, organized by the Foundation for Sustainable Development alongside Italy's Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and the National Council for the Green Economy.
Comieco and Nomisma to quantify NRRP paper-recycling gains
Ecomondo will present a joint assessment with Comieco and Nomisma measuring the environmental and economic benefits generated by NRRP-funded projects in the paper recycling sector. Additional sessions cover healthy and circular cities, soil restoration, regenerative bioeconomy, bioenergy, water management and the Blue Economy.
Africa and Mediterranean cooperation anchors international track
The 6th Africa Green Growth Forum will run in partnership with the Task Force for Italy's Mattei Plan, Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo and RES4Africa, reinforcing Ecomondo's focus on Mediterranean and African markets. The agenda also includes sessions on sustainable finance, ESG strategies, risk management, investment models and innovation funding.
